ANROWS Practitioner Engagement Group (PEG)

Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety Limited (ANROWS) has established an advisory group, the ANROWS Practitioner Engagement Group (PEG), to assist in the translation of research to practice. ANROWS's PEG will promote interaction and knowledge sharing between ANROWS, the specialist women’s services sector (i.e. domestic and family violence, sexual assault, women’s health, women’s legal services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and women with disabilities) and the broader community services sectors (i.e. mental health, alcohol and other drugs, housing and homelessness).

The role of the Practitioner Engagement Group is to promote and facilitate two-way knowledge sharing on practice and research in relation to violence against women and their children. It is intended to facilitate an active, ongoing engagement between practitioners and ANROWS. The Women’s Community Health Network is looking forward to participating in a co-ordinated approach to knowledge translation and exchange between research and practice to respond to and prevent violence against women and their children , across jurisdictions and practice sectors.
